Word Association Test (WAT)
[ The short answer ]
The Word Association Test (WAT) is an important component of the ISSB Personality Test series. It is designed to assess a candidate's spontaneous thought process and personality through sentence formation.
During the test, a series of words is displayed on a screen, each for 10 seconds. Candidates are required to write one meaningful sentence for each word on the answer sheet, following the prescribed serial order, within the allotted time.
If, for any reason, you are unable to write a sentence within the given time, leave that particular space blank and immediately move on to the next word. Do not waste time trying to complete a missed response, as doing so may affect your performance on subsequent items.
The key to performing well in this test is to respond quickly and naturally. Write the first meaningful sentence that comes to your mind and prepare yourself for the next word. Maintaining concentration and responding promptly throughout the test are essential. Regular practice in thinking and writing quickly will help you perform more effectively.
Remember, avoid overthinking or creating imaginary situations. As soon as a word appears, express your immediate and genuine reaction in the form of a sentence. Your responses should be natural, honest, and spontaneous, as these provide the most accurate reflection of your personality.
