The next test after the Group Discussion is the Progressive Group Task (PGT). After the Group Discussion, the candidates are taken to the PGT ground. At the beginning, the GTO explains all the rules and procedures in detail.
The Progressive Group Task (PGT) is a task divided into several stages. In this task, the group has to progress by crossing a series of obstacles one after another. The main objective of this test is to move forward as a team by applying different strategies while following the prescribed rules.
During the task, the group is required to cross the obstacles with a heavy object by using the provided helping materials such as bamboo poles, ropes, planks, etc. Since it is a group task, teamwork, strategic thinking, and collective effort are important at every stage.
This test mainly assesses intelligence and problem-solving ability, teamwork and coordination, mutual understanding, physical activity, and physical capability.
It should be remembered that the entire group must cross each stage together within the specified time. Therefore, teamwork and coordination are very important.
