ISSB Overview
[ The short answer ]
The Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) is a well-known institution of international standard. Since 1976, the final selection process for candidates aspiring to become officers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force has been conducted here.
Candidates remain at the ISSB for four consecutive days, during which they participate in various tests. The ISSB has the necessary accommodation facilities for approximately 200 to 250 candidates at a time. From arrival to departure, quality accommodation is provided for every candidate. There is a dining hall for meals, as well as a separate canteen. In addition, a free laundry service is provided for washing clothes.
If a candidate becomes ill during the stay at the ISSB, primary medical treatment is provided free of charge. If necessary, additional treatment is arranged at the local Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Information and updates regarding the ISSB can be obtained through the ISSB's official website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. To facilitate the visit of guardians, documents containing QR codes and photographs can be downloaded from the ISSB website.
If, after the ISSB has scheduled the examination date, a candidate is unable to appear on the specified date due to illness or any other special reason, he or she may apply once for a change of the examination date through the ISSB website.
